AMS Students Compete at Tech Wars
Tech Wars is an event involving almost 600 middle school and high school students from over 21 districts competing in various technology and engineering related events.
Twenty students are in the AMS Tech Club which meets after school and is coached by Bill Schupp, technology and engineering teacher. The students worked extremely hard over many months to get their projects ready in time for competition and their hard work paid off.
In the Mousetrap Cars challenge, first place went to Jack Beedon, second place to Matthew Szumski and third place to AJ Kostyniak. In the Air Cars challenge, Jacob Bishop earned second place. In the On-Site Engineering Challenge, Oliver Olsen and Nate Sheridan earned third place.
Other students involved were Charlie Bastedo, Gregory Blackman, Joe Fabian, Lily Giles, Arshayan Kenniyoodsan, Charlotte Koslosky, Chloe Krug, Danny Lagarda, Jack Maloney, Kennedy Ragonnet, Jayce Scibetta, Louis Scibetta, Danny Sykes and Henry Wright.
